After teaching kindergarten for several years, we realized there is a sweet spot in what a child should know or be able to do when they come into kindergarten. If they have the right background then they come into kindergarten ready to absolutely take off in their learning – they won’t be struggling and they won’t be bored. This is the framework we used when we created our own 2-year preschool curriculum. Our curriculum is intentional – it builds on each other and is sequential. The two years are very different programs – there isn’t any repeating happening. Year 2 takes what was taught and discovered in year 1 and adds onto it. This curriculum is perfect for teachers in a classroom, a teacher running a home based preschool, or parents wanting to do a full preschool program at home!
